In recent years, there has been a growing recognition of the importance of social emotional learning (SEL) in the classroom SEL refers to the process through which children and adults acquire and apply the skills necessary to understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible social emotional learning in the classroom.
